Got Earth and Space Science!!!

WOHOOO!!!!.....lol me so happy....got my philosophy course changed..hehe....but on the bad side....i cant make fun of ms armani no more :(......lolz jkz....peace ms armani!!!...well....pretty much the same as yesterday....but SLEEPY!!! in comp eng...i better go to sleep early from now on....-__-"......messed up on the questions that i would fly thru them...damn that sux...well...i guess its cuz its been 1 year lol...but styll not acceptable!!..philosophy class....damn man the teacher makes us write so much....lol...then everybody in the class tells ms armani that SHE'S FRIGGIN FAST!!..lol...i was like damn right!!...slow down teacher....we aint gonnna die...we got the whole semester left....lol....it felt like she wanted to cover the whole semester in a week...hehe.....then towards the end of the period...counselor called me down for the good newz!!!...^__^..hehe...so i went down and just finished the formalities and i had my course changed...and i was SOO happy....well...atleast got rid of the class i didnt want....soo...2morrow gonna go to earth and space science...mmmm....space....hehe.....
then 3rd period..spare...played cards..made fun of each other...hehe....and 4th lunch...we played football in the COLD!!....my fingers were RED.....damn....had more fun in 3rd period than 4th....then comp eng....i did the hw/assignment due in class...lol at home...it was due today...so answered questions....man i was soo sleepy that i was corrected by mrs sintzel in my logic gates sheet...lol...thats the part i ACED!!...damn real sleepy....so ye...thats how my day was..pretty good overall...cant complain ^__^..............................

Official Start of Semester 2

well...wasnt able to post the last couple of days since i was cleaning the house....especially my room...lol...so wasnt able to sit on the pc much....but got the chance today....styll gotta do sum confusing homework...but thought i should post something.....
well..u know that in high schools the schedules are based on 2 days ....well atleast my school...so the schedule i had on friday was day 1 and today was day to.....here's how the schedule is..

so....today was day two and i enjoyed all my classes...
first i had geometry & discrete....pretty normal class..except it was FAST!!!....teacher is nice...but too quick...it wasnt like i was falling behind but since i was home for a little over a month....i wasnt as quick to take all that in...so i was slow at the beginning of the period but as time passed...i slowly got faster at grasping it all....the first 3 chapters that we are going to do in this class is all abt proofs....so...its HARD!!...well...thats what ppl say...but depends on how ppl study....so we'll see how i survive....
second i had computer engineering...my fav class...mmmmm...^__^...so mrs sintzel, our teacher, started the course with reviewing the methods of converting from hex to binary and decimal, binary to hex and decimal, and decimal to hex and binary....it was pretty easy...well..for me i guess....hehe..^__^.... i guess i was probably the first one done that sheet that was both sided...so we took those up and she gave us logic gates worksheet...the circuitry inside of microchips....to finish for hw...and i finished half of the sheet in class...and that too with 5 min left for the period....hehe ^__^....trust me i am NOT smart...just know what to do thats all...hehe
so 3rd period was spare...so...sum of my friends had 3rd period lunch...so we just sat in caf and talked abt stuff....listened to music....
then 4th period my lunch...most of my close friends have 4th lunch so we sat in caf...again...and played president and killed time like that since we didnt have much stuff to do....
5th period....all i can say was..............................SLEEEEEEEEPY!!......lol teacher talked tons of stuff abt philosophy and i was like STOP!!...lol....then she stopped talkin...lol not cuz of me...but she was dun talkin lol....when her mouth stopped...our hands started....lol thats rite she PUT 3 FRIGGIN OVERHEADS....and all covered in NOTES...i was like if i dont get this course changed i will...die in like 1 more week....so i got the course change sheet just before i was going to my philosophy class....so i filled it out during class...and gave it after skooll...i was like prayin to god like...help me drop it...lol...am gonna pray tonite while sleepin hehe....i need to get rid of this course...or else...me skippin...-__-"....which i dunt wanna do....

Return to School: Semester 2 Day 1

well...what can i say i mean i thought that it was going to be worse after all the problems that i've been through but it probably wasnt as bad as i thought. first off at the start had to go to my period 1 of semester 1 which was my physics class. returned my outstanding books and i was really scared since i thought that the teachers will keep asking all these difficult questions as to what happened and why i didnt return back and all that...so was really surprised as to how easy the teachers went on me..
then we got our semester 2 schedules and went to out semester 2 1st period which was geometry and discrete math. surprisingly, our teacher, ms. utahara, gave out our first quiz for the semester. everyone in the class was really surprised since they werent expecting a quiz on the first day especially right after the exams. so we wrote the quiz....and probably i was the only one who was having trouble trying to complete the quiz..though i wasnt the last. i probably guessed most of my answers...luckily ms utahara told us that she wont mark the quiz but instead just put comments on what we did right or what we did wrong. so i got a lucky break there...hehe....this means that i have to work my arse off this semester...if i want to get into NASA...well...
so 2nd period i had philosophy....-__-" .....that was probably the most boring class ever!..i have decided that i'll change it to earth and space science since that course will help me out on my career path...anyways so ye philosophy the teacher, ms armani(she's got a bulgarian accent), just talked to us about what the course is made up of and what type of workload we are supposed to expect...which is A TON!...lol thats probably over exxagerating...but styll it sounds tough especially with all those essays and readings that she is going to give the class..hehe..^__^..not me atleast....she also talked to us about the disciplines that the students will develop e.g. logic etc...in those disciplines she talked very briefly on metaphysics....and i was lost in thought as to how metaphysics is related to philosophy...psst! guys if u know plz comment and let know...i have no clue about it thats y....so ye...
the next 2 periods were lunch and spare so all i did was play cards...had nothing to do since it was a shortened day....so... just chylled ..^__^
the last period, 5th, is my favorite class with my favorite teacher, mrs sintzel, computer engineering. i just love that class..its pure fun especially since the last 3 years i have had it with her and they have all been in semester 2 so thats a big helper and also because most of my close friends are in that class...mrs sintzel just talked very briefly about the course. she didnt need to go deep into the introduction because all the students, there were about 15-17 students, were all the students she had before and knew them very well...including myself ^__^...so she was quick about the formal stuff that teachers need to do. and rest of the class all we did was talk about how hard geometry is going to be hehe..^__^...so that was pretty much how my day was at skool today...not too exciting or not too boring either...pretty enjoyable i would say so....came home early since the day was shortened..so i was home by around 12pm so...ye thats pretty much how my 1st day of 2nd semester was....well...i'm off

Life's Boring Without School

man....what can i say..havent gone to skool for like....over a month and 2 weeks...and it SUCKS!!...without school its boring...cuz u got no one to talk at home with since parents are away to work....and most of the times ur friends are not even online when you want to talk to them. it would have been better if i had started a small course while at home and stuff but damn...too late now since school gonna start on feb 3. so now its pointless, i have probably made too many mistakes but right now all i can do is work my ass off if i want to make it to NASA and that means not only doing school work but studying other subjects while not at school and also working part time over the weekend seems to be a pretty good way of keeping myself busy rather than sitting at the pc and staring at the monitor and thinking for like 4 hours of what to do. that seems to be a better way to start off and get rid of the procrastination that has developed during that month and 2 weeks that i have been home...if i had thought just a bit more while i was at home i could have done a lot more work...and probably done a small course or a job..but damn...it sucks when you look back at what you have done in the past month and how disappointed you are at yourself because you decided to do what you wanted and how bad you have screwed up. man to think that i have been told before to look back and see what you have done and improve upon makes me feel shameful on myself that i knew about this and i didnt do anything...but now the time of goofing up is gone..its time to fix it all up and get back on track and keep on going till i get into NASA..
3rd Launch All The Way to Pluto!!!

wohoo!! wow that launch was one exciting one...man that Atlas V rocket sure made a lot of noise! ^__^ the launch got delayed a bit but in the end it was worth the wait. T-(minus)0 was at 2:00pm EST. will keep updating regarding the mission...meanwhile the rovers Spirit and Opportunity on Mars are celebrating their 1st Mars year anniversary with each on that planet for approx. 728 & 708 sol(martian days) respectively. JPL is partyin like crazy these days..hehe..well..gotta go fly sum airplanes in flight simulator ^__^

wohoo!! i'm so happy that the launch was postponed till tomorrow since i totally forgot to watch the coverage today...hehe..may be i got a little bit lucky today...well lets hope tomorrow's attempt is a successful one...and this time i'll be glue to the pc waitin for it to takeoff...well...New Horizons looks like i'll see ya tomorrow ^__^
New Horizons: Mission to Pluto

well....i dont know if you know about this but NASA is set to launch their probe to Pluto today and NASA TV is going to be showing the mission launch live from Cape Canaveral. NASA will cover the launch live and will start streaming it on the net starting from 1:24pm EST. The NASA website actually had a chance for those who wanted to send their names to pluto on the spacecraft..i tried but was kinda late and didnt get to send my name...well there is always another chance. i am really excited about this launch and am amazed to see how quick the journey for the vision of exploration has got the ball rolling. i would consider myself really lucky to be able to see this in progress and also someday be part of that vision. in the meantime i gotta get sum work done in my room( that means time to clean ^__^) also the link for watching the launch is at NASA TV

Wow..i cant believe i actually got myself a blog after a long time thinking about whether to get one or not...well its finally here and i am actually very happy to have my own..now a little bit about my self...my name isnt wat it shows on the profile but on the contrary its my nickname i use...and i love it....anyways my real name is Akshay Suthar and i am 17 and living in Toronto, Canada. It must be weird at first because my blog's title is called Destination: NASA. I used that title because space is probably the only hobby/interest, if you call it, that shapes my life....and NASA is the company/organization that i would want to be working for when i get out of university. i guess that pretty much sums a lot about myself and what i like and all....well...its great to have a first post on my first blog...and i will keep posting whenever i get the chance...so stay tuned ^__^
